Social Infrastructure

High Street Mansfield

There has been an interesting debate that has been bubbling along for a while now and it’s been about the vary affordability of living in the bush. Even before Covid the prices of land and homes had been growing strongly add to that lack of rental properties forcing rents to a price that many can’t afford to pay means we are now in a perfect storm situation. Covid has supercharged these issues. The final straw has been Federal and State Governments failure to invest in social housing. The ability to have a roof over your head is a basic human right and I hope as we enter election season these issues come to the for. We need to hold all politicians to account and force them to acknowledge and deal with these social structural issues.
