Adding Images to your Journal

Over the last couple of weeks I have mentioned printing your photographs. Another reason I have found for printing is if you journal then you can add images to your journal. Sometimes an image can enhance your writing. The little postcard size means they can easily be glued into a small journal. In a way it is like creating a photo essay. Even though nobody else may ever read or look at your journal I think adding images will inspire you to write more and the process of taking, printing and glueing images into your journal will slow down your thoughts allowing you to be more reflective. In the ever increasing speed and slop content on social media I think that’s a good thing. What do you think?

Why we all Should Print our Work

In my previous post I wrote about how I had recently purchased a small Canon Photo Printer (Selphy CP1500). I have been using the printer for a few weeks now and I have found it has given more enthusiasm to get out a take more picture. If you are an amateur photographer and you want to print your photographs you can be stopped in your tracks by the cost of printing. Firstly professional grade photo printers are expensive and lets not talk about the running costs. The cost of tanks full of ink make it prohibitively expensive if you are not selling your prints.
