Printing your Photographs
If you are an amateur photographer and you want to print your photographs you can be stopped in your tracks by the cost of printing. Firstly professional grade photo printers are expensive and lets not talk about the running costs. The cost of tanks full of ink make it prohibitively expensive if you are not selling your prints. I recently purchased a little portable printer, Canon Selphy CP1500, which prints post card size (6x4) sized prints. I have put a link below to Canon’s website for the full list of Printer specifications. The Selphy printer prints using Dye-sublimation thermal print so it is different from the ink jet style of printing. One feature of the Dye-sublimation that I like is that when a print is completed you are able to pick it up and no risk it still being wet and thus smudging the print.
There are plenty of YouTube videos on the Selphy CP1500 and how to set it up and use it. I have included one here to get you started. So far at the time of writing this I have not had any problems with this printer and I am enjoying experimenting with the type of prints I can get. This little post is not meant to be a full review and I am not being sponsored by Canon. Hopefully this helps you if you, like me, want an affordable option to print some of your photographs.
