I have been finding, over the last few months, that my Facebook and Instagram feeds are now full to overflowing with "Suggested Content" and all I can do is Snooze that content for 30 days. Which means after I go through it all it happens again after 30 days. It's content I don't want and I have not asked for. It also means that I am missing the stuff from people I want to see.

YouTube is fast becoming "Shill Tube" with feeds full of so called "Influencers", more like Snake Oil Salesman, trying to sell you the latest dodgy bit of gear. It is becoming harder to find interesting and informative channels. Even Google Search, which used to be the place to find stuff on the web has poisoned its search results with "sponsored" results.

Yet it is these companies that are spear heading AI. When the original "Internet" including the world wide web was developed it was not controlled by big corporations. The tech titans are not developing AI for altruistic reasons but they are doing it to develop more ingenious ways to relieve you of your money, and privacy.
