I posted this link mainly because this website and in the information on it are examples of the the web was like before the grotesque era of social media. it is not a pretty site but it provides a lot of useful information and it was created via a Creative Commons licence and those who built and manage it do it for free. Yes no influencers and supposed content creators but people who embodied one of the original aims of the internet being the free sharing of information and resources. have been quietly working away thinking about a MMuDS Production for 2027. MMuDS has had a long history of doing musicals and having great singers both as soloists and ensemble, Chorus, singers. As I enter the twilight of my active time with MMuDS I have been pondering how to rekindle our singing. I think we need to do some "fun" singing workshops for new and even experienced singers but we need this to lead to something positive. That is where "Trial by Jury" would come in. Instead of completing a workshop with nothing to then use what you have been learner having a Gilbert & Sullivan one act musical as the ultimate goal would I think encourage people to get involved, Personally I learned my singing from being is such musical as Iolanthe, Pirates of Penzance and HMS Pinafore. What do you think? just putting it out here for thoughts, comments and ideas.
